Snack Bar

From The Temple of Kraden Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

The Snack Bar is a social topic at the Temple of Kraden. It was installed and is run by Dracobolt. Felix is the assistant manager, Werebarret is the barbecue chef, Faust Z was the former rice chef, and Val is the breakfast chef. Kris is the security guard. The Snack Bar is where the Kradenettes hang out and relax. There is a lot of random discussion and violence. The Snack Bar also has a basement. The Snack Bar does not serve Ovaltine. Much to some members dismay (mainly Werebarret), alcohol is strictly prohibited in the Snack Bar, though members are known to smuggle in Vodka from time to time. Draco offers sparkling grape juice as an alternative, but when the alcohol fiends just won't listen to reason, she calls on the power of Prohibition to pwn them.

Sometimes the RP Module is pushed in the Snack Bar and the patrons talk in the third-person, past tense. Some people like to be clever and mix it up, using future perfect tense, second person, and some use present tense. The use of the RP module in the Snack Bar is confusing to newcomers, if they happen to stumble upon it. It has become deeply ingrained in the Temple fabric, and the RP module now appears to be permanent.

The Basement

The basement is the lower level of the Snack Bar. It is Draco's personal hangout and her living quarters. It is a large common area with an adjoining bedroom and a bathroom. There is also a secret wine cellar hidden behind the stairs. It is impossible for anyone but Draco to get into it, though, and she guards it with traps and violence.. Kris also installed additional levels to the basement, and they are fraught with peril. No one is allowed in the basement without Draco's consent, although plenty of people try to sneak down there.

Draco will occasionally throw parties in the basement or let others use it. The main room of the basement has a large television, all sorts of entertainment systems, several sofas, and other things to make it a good place to relax. Draco is also rumored to store nuclear weapons and biohazards in other areas of the basement, which she sells to finance the Snack Bar and thus keep it free for everyone. There is also a laboratory and a treasury.

It's said that the mystery of how Draco funds the Snack Bar can be solved by anyone with the stomach to investigate all of her shady basement activities. As long as you're not attached to your kidneys, anyway.

The Snack Bar in other contexts

The Snack Bar often shows up in various RPs at the Temple. In Clan Wars, it is Draco's base of operations and the site of her death. After she came back, she put the Mercury Djinni Jet in charge of running it until she could get back to it after the way. In this canon, the Snack Bar has a water warp portal that leads to Draco's office in Mercury Lighthouse.

Adnarel created the Snack Bar RP, which was to have a plot where the Snack Bar would be sold unless the Kradenettes could raise the money to save it. It also featured in the ToK RP.

A replica of the Snack Bar is used as the front for The Organization's headquarters. Amusingly, this means that the Organization is based in the Snack Bar's basement.

Snack Bar Pictures

Dracobolt has drawn a series of pictures showing Kradenettes hanging out in the Snack Bar. Only three Kradenettes have appeared in more than one drawing: Spella and Adnarel in two, and Draco herself in three. Drawings tend to feature veteran members who have been at the Temple for a while, but this is not a hard and fast rule; the drawings are merely based on members that Draco has a good mental picture of (whether or not it accurately corresponds with the real life appearances of the Kradenettes is of little concern to Draco).

Drawing One This drawing features Were, Draco, Satty, Alex, Felix, Faust, Asphy, and Adnarel.

Drawing Two This drawing has Shajiu, Nakun, Gawain, Vaescent, and Ryu.

Drawing Three This has Ian, Tristia, Spella, KP, Astra, Bane, and Kent.

Drawing Four This one shows Reid, Draco, Spella, Necare, Els, Fluff, Erik, and Adnarel.

Drawing Five This drawing shows Ninja, Sunny, Chrono, Kris, Hinoa, Draco, and Boyd.

Drawing Six Currently in progress, this drawing is slated to contain Kiki, Phoenix, Squee, Jackal, Grim, Deadbeard, Gwydd, Sundancer, and Iskveda.
